1) Prerequisites
----------------
Any Image should work, but be aware that the DreamboxHardware.py
is replaced, so be aware that there could be Troubles due to this !
Power Save should be compatible to the Sleeptimers available,
but don't take this for sure !
2) Installation
---------------
First copy the powersave11.tar.bz2 file from powersave11.zip
to /var/tmp with ftp (TCP/IP must be working already).
If you have flashed an image that offer in Blue Pannel Manual
Addon Installation you can use this functionality to extract
the kit and restart enigma.
If not, then unpack the whole files by entering the following
commands in a Telnet session. The cd / ist important, because
kit is now built with full filenames including directories.
cd /
bunzip2 /var/tmp/powersave12.tar.bz2
tar -xvf /var/tmp/powersave12.tar
Now you have to restart enigma or reboot to have
the Power save Plugin available in the addons menu.
3) Usage
--------
In the addons menu you can specifiy the Time at which the box
should go into Deepstandby and the time when it should wakeup.
Currently only full hours are supported and the default suggested
is 23h for Deepstandby and 7h for wakeup.
Be aware that after wakeup/boot the box will go to Standby
- short Press of the Power Button will get it fully awake.
The Power save should be able to handle that the box awakes properly
if there is a timer planned during the Power Save Time
(this is the reason why DreamboxHardware.py is patched) but this
was not fully tested - please find out yourself and report.
You can now enable or disable if Dreambox goes to Standby when
bootet.
When you plan Timers during the Powersave time don't forget
to plan then with Standby after Recording.
Currently there should be no timers/recording running when
Sleeptime occures (Power Save will win, and Recording stopps).
This will be fixed in Version 2.0, be patient !
